Touro Law Names Eight Leaders in Law and Business to Board of Governors

Dean Patricia Salkin is pleased to announce the appointment of eight new members to the Touro Law Center Board of Governors: Jack Grossman ’88, Managing Partner of Mallilo & Grossman; Evan Krinick, Managing Partner of Rivkin Radler LLP; Christine Malafi ’91, Partner of Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP; Joseph Marger ’89, Partner at Reed Smith; Jennifer McLaughlin, Partner of Cullen and Dykman; Mark Mulholland, Managing Partner and senior member of the Litigation Department of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C.; Ellen Rudin, Managing Director of CBRE’s Long Island and New York City outer boroughs offices; and Miriam Tanenbaum, market executive - head of Long Island and Queens Commercial Banking, Capital One Financial Corporation.

Board Chair Howard Stein of Certilman Balin stated, “Each of these individuals are recognized leaders in their respective fields, and the Board and I look forward to their contributions and we are grateful for their commitment to and support for Touro Law Center.”  

Dean Patricia Salkin noted, “The appointment of these outstanding individuals add significant energy and resource to the Law Center further enhance the implementation of Touro Law’s exciting new Portals to Practice strategic plan and curricular reform ensuring that Touro Law students are prepared for a rapidly changing profession.” 

Jack Grossman ’88 is a founder and the managing partner for the Mallilo & Grossman firm, a large Queens-based firm with close to 100 attorneys. He is a successful personal injury litigator, as well as a real estate and estate attorney.

Evan H. Krinick serves as Managing Partner at Rivkin Radler. He is a successful trial and appellate lawyer who has represented the firm's clients in state and federal courts locally and across the country.

Christine Malafi ’91 is a partner at Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP and a member of the firm’s executive management team. Immediately prior to joining the firm, Ms. Malafi was senior corporate counsel to Leviton Manufacturing Co., Inc., where she handled corporate governance, acquisitions, routine and complex transactions, employment issues, and other business matters, both nationally and internationally. She is the former Suffolk County Attorney and was a partner with 

Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles & Kaufman, LLP.

Joseph Marger ’89 is a partner with the international law firm of Reed Smith, where is works in the Manhattan office.  He focuses on all aspects of the sale and acquisition of real estate, both single asset and portfolio transactions, including industrial and commercial single-user facilities, shopping centers, hotels, office buildings and multi-family residential properties. He is equally experienced in real estate finance, including sale-leaseback and build-to-suit financing transactions, traditional loan documentation for borrowers and institutional lenders for construction and development and stabilized assets, including securitized transactions.

Jennifer McLaughlin, Esq. is a partner at the Garden City firm of Cullen & Dykman.  Her practice includes land use and zoning matters, acquisition of real property rights, Article 78 proceedings and defense of landowner challenges to utility and pipeline company construction and operation activities.  She also handles unfair competition, trademark and copyright infringement proceedings in judicial and administrative tribunals.  

Mark Mulholland Esq. is the managing partner and senior member of the Litigation Department of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. where he represents businesses, Fortune 50® corporations, municipalities, government agencies, and individual entrepreneurs in all manner of disputes and in all forums including intellectual property, condemnation, antitrust, securities matters, licensing, unfair competition, copyright, trademark, contract disputes, constitutional challenges, RICO and beyond. 

Ellen S. Rudin, Esq. is the Managing Director of CBRE’s Long Island and New York City outer boroughs offices.  She is responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day management of both offices, which include office, industrial and retail sales and leasing, global corporate services, investment sales, asset management, property management, and valuation and advisory services, as well as marketing, research and administrative support. 

Miriam Tanenbaum is Senior Vice President, Market Executive and head of Long Island and Queens Middle Market Commercial Banking for Capital One Bank. With more than 20 years of banking industry experience, she oversees a team of bankers who provide financial services to businesses and corporations. Prior to joining Capital One, she worked at JPMorgan Chase for 17 years.
