Nassau Suffolk Law Services’ Community Legal Help Project (CHLP) is an organization focused on poverty law and survival needs of people with low incomes, involving shelter, food, healthcare, and family issues. NSLS’s Community Legal Help Project (CLHP) and is partnership of legal services providers, non-profit partners and pro bono volunteers who provide legal information and referrals, and limited-scope representation through a phone line and brief in-person consultations at public libraries.

SepaMujer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been working to support immigrant women on Long Island by bringing together community members and advocates to speak out against injustice. ECLI VIBS is an organization that supports clients to become free from violence through crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, and an array of support services that empower and transition clients toward independence. New Hour For Women and Children was founded to provide meaningful support to current and formerly incarcerated women, their children, and families. We build community to promote successful re-entry and lasting reintegration, and to reform unjust criminal justice system policies. We empower directly impacted people to utilize their lived experiences to create lasting reforms to the carceral system.

Housing Help Inc. is a not-for-profit organization helping families access safe, decent affordable housing and to develop the financial skills necessary to maintain their home. They provide one-on-one counseling and hosts seminars and workshops at local community centers and churches to assist with Tenant Resource Program, First-Time Home Buyers, Process of Foreclosure, Finances, Debt and Credit, Senior Housing and Tax Programs, Student Loan Debt, Tenants and Landlords.

The Retreat provides direct services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their families through a confidential, 24-hour bilingual hotline, counseling, legal advocacy, prevention education, and emergency shelter. The agency values and is committed to providing compassionate, empathetic and culturally aware services to all clients. Interactions are approached with these values in mind, and it is expected that clients will be treated with compassion, respect, and sensitivity during the provision of holistic, inclusive and welcoming services.
