CLE Series

In 2016, the Jewish Law Institute initiated a CLE Series: Comparing Jewish Law and American Law. As part of the series, Samuel J. Levine, Professor of Law and Director of the Jewish Law Institute, made presentations at leading law firms, comparing Jewish Law and American legal ethics. The presentations included:

The series continued in 2018 with a presentation on "The Dead Sea Scrolls' Live Copyright Controversy" by David Nimmer, of counsel to Irell & Manella LLP, Professor from Practice at UCLA School of Law, Distinguished Scholar at the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology, and a member of the Jewish Law Institute Advisory Board. The presentation was hosted by LexisNexis in New York City.

In the 2019-2020 academic year, Professor Samuel Levine made CLE presentations at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, and at Proskauer Rose LLP.

 

 

 

On March 23, 2021, as part of an online program discussing Judaism and the Law at Touro, Professor Levine made a CLE presentation on Jewish law and American legal ethics.
